Brazilian Falls

Duration: 4 hour(s) - Location: Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil.

The visit starts at the Visitors Centre at the entrance of the Iguaçu National Park, where, apart from the box office, there are craft stores, ATMs, stores for toiletries, and some environmental exposure for the visitor to know a little more about the history and characteristics of the Iguaçu Falls.

A vehicle then takes the visitor 1,000 m away to the beginning of the trails. The visit consists of a single circuit of walkways in front of the falls. The panoramic view offered is truly unique and impressive. The circuit is 1200 m long and has stairs, making it difficult for wheelchairs or strollers; however, there are points from where a visitor with limited mobility can enjoy the beautiful view of the Iguaçu Falls. One of such points is the top of the walkways and another is in the end by the elevator, where you can see the best view of the waterfalls.

At the end of the circuit, there is an elevator or a staircase. The staircase, 220 m long and with 130 steps, can be difficult. It is said that can view the falls from the Brazilian side, but you can live the falls on the Argentine side. At the end of the circuit is the Porto Canoas restaurant, famous for its view of the falls from the top. There are also shops selling handcrafted items and souvenirs of the falls.
